G'day from Down Under

G'day from Sydney, Australia!

We have been having a blast down here in Australia! We arrived safe and sound on the 13th and hit the ground running. After a quick pit-stop at the hotel on Cremorne Point we headed straight for Manly Beach. Manly was playing host to one of the biggest surf competitions of the year, the Hurley Surf Open. The surf open was a free event so it was great to just relax on the beach, watch some surf, and enjoy a little relaxation time. We all liked it so much that our second day in here we did the same thing! Happy Valentine's Day to us while we allowed our skin to get involved in the festivities with a little red and pink tone compliments of the sun. Well maybe that was just me, everyone else seemed to put on a nice tan color. It was quite a relaxing first couple of days.

After a few days of relaxing and playing in the ocean we decided it was time to see some of what Sydney has to offer. We decided that it was time to go to the zoo! We spent the morning and early afternoon hours at the Taronga Zoo hanging out with some Koalas, Kangaroos, and my personal favorite - the duckbill platypus. When we were thoroughly exhausted from wandering around the beautiful zoo we went back to the hotel and got cleaned up for church. We attended Hillsong Church and enjoyed some amazing worship followed by a wonderful message. It was a complete and enjoyable day!

I left yesterday up to the students to decide where they wanted to go and somehow we ended up at another beach enjoying the the sun and surf! Bondi Beach is located south of where we are staying and is a beautiful beach. We stayed for most of the day before heading back to the hotel to freshen up before we took the ferry across the harbor to Circular Quay. It was finally time for us to get our tourist on! We spent some good time taking photos in front of the Sydney Harbor Bridge as well as in front of the Sydney Opera House.

Everyone is a little bit slow moving today but I plan to take a group to Darling Harbor to check out a few shops and enjoy our last day "Down Under". We fly out at 1:45 pm on the 18th which means we will be in the air at 8:45 pm central time on the night of the 17th in the US. This has been a wonderful trip and we have been extremely blessed with this opportunity to come and visit one of the most beautiful places in the world!

When we get back to Fiji we have some fun excursions planned as well as some more work days on the farm. Thank you all so much for your support through prayer and we would just like to ask that you continue to pray for us while we are here. We would specifically love prayer for safety as we travel back from Australia as well as around Fiji, the hearts of our students to be moldable and allow the Holy Spirit to do a work in their hearts, the people that we get to serve and love on, and the Pittman family who have worked tirelessly to make this trip happen. We miss you all very much and can't wait to speak with you all soon! We love you all!!

God bless!
