The Link Year gives so much to the Link Year students in many different ways. One way, is the bible studies we have every Friday, at eight in the morning. We get SO much out of these bible studies. I've developed a better understanding of salvation, how to live by faith, how to find my identity in Christ. The last thing I've gotten out of it is numerous points in accountability.
I've learned salvation is something that can't be earned. Once you have salvation, it is impossible to become unsaved or go back to your old ways. Once you have been truly saved you will not want to go back to it.
I've learned how to live by faith. In 2 Peter it says 'his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, which assures us that he has a plan'. Colossians says that 'They pray for us, and to endure with patience and joy.'
I've learned my identity in Christ. It says in Romans 8:1-2 'there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus. For the law of the spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.'
The last thing I've got out of bible study is points in accountability. After Bible Study we have accountability partners. That's when we have a friend of the same gender to hangout every Friday for an hour, and catch up on life. We also hold each other accountable for doing what's right and living for Christ. Having that accountability friend is very important to me.
Once again Link Year given so much to the link year students, but one of the key things I've gotten out the program is the bible study.
